A spectacular night of 90s indie music to raise vital cash for a local homelessness charity is coming to High Wycombe this weekend.
Indie music fans are being asked to grab a ticket for an extra-special event taking place at Bucks New Uni’s The Venue on Saturday, May 21, which will raise money for Wycombe Homeless Connection.
Fans are promised a blend of 90s indie sights and sounds, from grunge to baggy, britpop to shoegaze - if it's danceable it's in.
Edmund from event organisers, Common People, said: “We started as a one off event in February 2019 to raise money for a girl with neuroblastoma.
"That night was so successful and the idea of dancing and raising money at the same time was so popular the team decided to always have a charity element to every event we ran.”
For the upcoming event, 10 per cent of proceeds will go to Wycombe Homeless Connection, who help those that are homeless or facing homelessness in High Wycombe and the surrounding area.
Heather Stanley from Wycombe Homeless Connection said: “We are thrilled that Common People have chosen to support our work and the people we serve.
“It will be a brilliant event and thank everyone who will dance the night away for doing their bit to help end homelessness in our community.”
Tickets are only £10 and available now. For all information, go to www.wegottickets.com/Commonpeopleindienight
