It was a busy day for the officers at Thames Valley Police as several people were apprehended for motoring crimes in the county.

Throughout Thursday, May 12 in the south of Buckinghamshire, many cars and vans were seized which included an Audi A3 in Chalfont St Giles.

The authorities attempted to stop the car but it ‘took off at speed and entered the village car park to evade the officers.’

However, TVP Chiltern & South Bucks confirmed that the driver of the car, which had a learner’s plate on the rear, was ‘detained and arrested for drug driving and driving otherwise in accordance with license’.

The car was later seized.

On the same day, a driver was arrested in Amersham for ‘overtaking queuing traffic’ whilst also going through a red light.

It was also revealed that the motorist did this in front of a police car.

The driver was reported and now faces having points put on their license along with a fine.

Finally, in the evening of May 12, two vehicles were taken off the road in Beaconsfield.

The first was a BMW after it was revealed that the car had no insurance, and after the driver called his friend for a lift, the van that arrived to pick up the former was also taken off the road.

It was discovered that the van, which was a Ford Transit, triggered the police’s ANPR Camera as it had not been taxed since 2021.

Both vehicles were taken off the road.
