A former councillor has branded a motorbike rider's driving "reckless", fearing there could be a fatal accident. 

David Meacock, a music teacher and former county and district councillor, said he could "scarcely believe" what he was seeing when a white and red motorbike came speeding up behind him along Narcot Lane in Chalfont St Giles on May 7. 

And seemingly other residents have witnessed similar reckless driving in the area. 

Mr Meacock contacted the Bucks Free Press to share what he had seen, fearing there could be a fatal incident if he does not raise awareness, adding that it could "save a life".

He said: "I could scarcely believe my eyes when he not only over took me on one wheel but the whole line of traffic in front of me and even around blind corners – the sort of thing seen in films when such stunts are meticulously planned; not on a ‘live’ local road.

"God must have a greater purpose for him as only by His grace was there not the most unimaginable horrendous fatal ‘accident’ – which might have not only killed the rider.

"This brightly coloured bike has no doubt been heard by neighbours, who I hope will recognise the description of this bike.

"He left somewhere and went somewhere else or was on a wild ride and, if he survived it, hopefully returned home. Someone knows him, and I hope someone loves him."

He added that he hoped the post would encourage drivers to be safer "before it's too late, for him and anyone else who just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time". 

Sharing his message on social media site Nextdoor, as well as with the Bucks Free Press, another resident appeared to have seen the same rider "doing a wheelie on the A40".

Another said they saw the rider on the A40 in Beaconsfield, adding: "Really scared me as he overtook on the inside." 

There have also been similar reported sightings in Wooburn Green and Flackwell Heath "at all hours" of the day and night.

Another resident also said it was a "miracle no one was hurt" when they also saw a motorcyclist doing a wheelie on Station Road in Gerrards Cross at 2pm on Saturday afternoon, when the town was busy with people. 

Mr Meacock said Thames Valley Police could not do anything without dash-cam footage or a registration plate and urged anyone with either to contact the force on 101 and report it.
