The Beaconsfield community leaders are set to award special town heroes in its first ever annual awards.
Wanting to celebrate achievements by residents of all ages, The Dove Café at St Thomas’ Church in Holtspur is welcoming nominations until May 11.
Anyone living in Beaconsfield postcode area HP9 who deserves to be rewarded for their exceptional volunteering or work and has given their permission can be entered for a category.
Steve Snaith, Dove Cafe Committee member and judge said: “The Beaconsfield Community Stars Awards recognise the brilliant people on our doorstep that repeatedly make connections, love their neighbours and have a huge positive impact on our town.

"The Dove Cafe opening has reminded us of the importance of building a sense of community belonging.
”I’m delighted to be judging the awards, inevitably there are some absolute stars in our community and I hope these awards shine a light on their positive actions and impact."
The awards have three categories – someone who has dedicated time to their neighbourhood as ‘Good Neighbour’, a ‘Community Star’ who has achieved one significant thing for the community and a ‘Young Community Star’, who is someone under 18 and achieved a significant thing.
Lucky winners will be announced at the Dove Café’s official launch event on Saturday May 14.
The nominations can be submitted to meet@thedove.cafe or to the dedicated Community Stars box inside The Dove Café on Mayflower Way.
