A World War 2 shell was found by a gardener at a Chalfont St Peter home.
Emergency services were called to the house following the find on May 4.
The explosive ordnance disposal and search regiment were also sent to the property to access the situation.
On their arrival, it was identified that the shell was of no risk and the team disposed of the WW2 remains.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "Called to a report of a WW2 shell found by a gardener at a property in Chalfont St Peter 11 Explosive Ordnance Disposal & Search Regiment attended and were quick to identify it was of no risk and disposed of accordingly.
"Thank you to the team for their assistance."
