A pub that shut its doors last month, leaving the community devastated, has gone up for sale.
The George and Dragon Hotel and Pub in West Wycombe High Street closed its doors at the beginning of April after the owner and head chef Arnaud Stevens moved on.
The announcement of the closure left pub-goers from near and far upset, with one regular saying it was "absolutely horrible news".
The well-loved 300-year-old hotel and pub was a popular spot for tourists visiting historic West Wycombe to stay in and it was rumoured to be haunted.
Now, there is hope the Grade II listed pub could be returned to its former glory as it has gone up for sale leasehold.
It is price on application, so serious buyers will have to get in touch with agents Lambert Smith Hampton to find out.
The listing describes The George as an "attractive period coaching inn with large car park and outside trading areas".
It also boasts a lawned beer garden, three-storeys, a cellar and 10 letting bedrooms on the first and second floors.
Those taking on the pub will have to pay a rent of £50,000 per annum, and a 20-year lease between the landlord and tenant expires on March 23, 2031.
The pub's closure prompted upset from locals and Bucks Free Press readers.
Geraldine Woodley wrote that it was a "great loss to West Wycombe".
Sarah James said: "That's so sad, such an amazing place."
Tracy Evans added: "One of my first jobs was working here, lovely place and friendly people. I hope that someone will take it on and bring it back to glory once again."
