Four Bucks areas feature among the best commuter towns for those heading into London by property expert Phil Spencer.
With more and more people now heading back into the office instead of working from home, commuters are on the look out for nice places to live that have the added benefit of being close to the capital.
According to a list put together by Phil Spencer on MoveIQ, there are four areas of Bucks that are named 'the best' for commuters - Iver, High Wycombe, Beaconsfield and Amersham.
The list is based on train times, affordability, annual season ticket pricesm house prices and what they've got going for them, alongside great transport links, based on data from Yopa and Rightmove.
Phil recognised that while Beaconsfield has good links into the city, with an average house price of £1,011,274 it is "inaccessible for many".
Both High Wycombe and Iver feature in the top 10, with Wycombe in seventh place and Iver in fifth.
The fastest train to London from High Wycombe is 27 minutes, with a season ticket priced at £3,856 and an average house price of £354,830.
Phil said: "Despite lying in the valley of the River Wye and surrounded by the rolling countryside of the Chiltern Hills, High Wycombe to London can take less than half an hour. House prices are significantly lower than the London average of £644,631 too."
Iver's closeness to Heathrow was also a plus point for Phil, with the village coming in at number five on the list.
The fastest train to London takes 25 minutes, with a season ticket priced at £2,316. House prices are more expensive here than in High Wycombe, with an average of £547,399.
Phil said: "While house prices are a bit higher here than some of the others on this list, they’re still much lower than the London average, while being only 25 minutes away. Here, you’ll benefit from the calm of the countryside and urban connectivity. Heathrow is only six miles away too."
Amersham came in at number 18 on the list, with a train into London taking 42 minutes. Beaconsfield was at number 11, taking 31 minutes.
While they didn't make the 'best' commuter towns list, Phil also namechecked Marlow and Milton Keynes in Bucks, Tring in Hertfordshire and Ascot, Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, saying they were "still deserving of a mention".
Here's Phil's list in full.
