A free concert for Ukraine in High Wycombe helped raise a "magnificent" £3,500.
The concert was held at All Saints Parish Church in the centre of High Wycombe on April 22, featuring music by the Chiltern Concert Band, with their conductor and MC for the evening Wing Commander Duncan Stubbs, Quintessential Brass and special guest soloists.
While the concert was free, donations totalling £3,500 were raised, which will go to the Red Cross Ukraine Appeal to help those affected by the war.
The concert was also given a massive boost by local businesses, including Hurst Estate Agents who helped with posters, the Midcounties Co-Op in Park Parade, Hazlemere, who provided refreshments and Wye Estate Agents who helped with programmes.
Avril and David Thompson, involved in the organising of the concert, said it was a "splendid" evening.
They added: "Thank you to everyone who gave their services free to support such a worthy cause."
