A railway worker was taken to hospital after she was hit by a train over the bank holiday weekend.
The incident happened near Chalfont & Latimer station at 9.30am on April 15 and involved a member of staff from the London Underground.
Train services on the Metropolitan Line and Chiltern Railway line were severely disrupted on Good Friday after reports came in of a casualty on the tracks.
It has now been confirmed that a woman working close to the track was hit by a train. She was taken to hospital but the British Transport Police says her injuries are not deemed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
The Bucks Free Press understands the incident is being treated as accidental and the Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB) has confirmed that it has been made aware of what happened.
A spokesperson for the RAIB said: "The RAIB was notified of an accident involving a member of London Underground staff who was struck by a train while working close to the track near Chalfont and Latimer station.
"We sent a team of inspectors to the site to gather evidence as part of the process of conducting a preliminary examination.
"A decision on whether an investigation will be launched will be taken in the coming days."
