Two stages, 20 bands, a food village and free entertainment - these are all set to form part of a major town centre celebration as Frogfest returns to High Wycombe.
Returning to its original one-day format, Frogfest is coming to the High Street and Frogmoor for the ninth year on Sunday, May 1.
Here's what you can expect.
Music and performances
Twenty local acts will take to the Frogmoor main stage and the High Street stage from 12pm to 9pm, with an electic line-up from Indie, Jazz, Pop and Folk to Bhangra, Ska and Rock.
Wycombe music fans will recognise some of the biggest local names, including headliners ‘These Certain People’, the popular ‘Maz Manzini’ and his new group ‘San Demas’, as well as ‘Weird Auntie’, fresh from winning Bucks Music’s ‘Battle of the Bands’.
Not forgetting Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth, who’ll be performing as part of The Pauly Zarb Experience.
Entertainment
You can expect boutique craft and gift stalls, free street entertainment, crazy circus workshops, children's rides, face painting and glitter art.
Wycombe Library, Wycombe Food Hub, Wycombe MIND and Wycombe Youth Action will all be hosting stalls, games and entertainment for all.
Food and drink
More than 15 food trucks will be spread throughout the event as part of a new Frogmoor food village pop-up.
You can expect giant paella, deep fried mac and cheese balls, fresh crepes and brownies, Jamaican jerk chicken and more.
Mad Squirrel will also be bringing along their Craft Beer Truck, plus there’ll be artisan cider, and cocktails pop-ups too.
When and where?
Head to the High Street and Frogmoor between 12pm and 9pm. The event is free to enjoy.
Chief Executive of HWBidCo, Melanie Williams – organisers of High Wycombe’s annual Frogfest – is pleased to see a return of the popular event.
She said: “We’re so excited for Frogfest 2022 - it’s great to be bringing the event back for another year, especially in its big one-day format.
"We have some amazing bands lined up to play and the ‘Frogmoor Food Village’ will be a great new addition to the event.
"There’ll be so much going on throughout the day, it really is going to be non-stop fun for all the family, and for us too – we love celebrating our town centre and look forward to welcoming lots of visitors – the best thing about it is it’s freeto attend.
"Grab your glitter and we’ll see you by the stage.”
