A man in his forties was found dead on the M40 yesterday - a week after his car was reportedly involved in a crash.
Police were called to reports of a black Vauxhall Astra in the central reservation on the M40 in Oxfordshire between junctions 11 (Banbury) and 12 (Gaydon).
From initial enquiries, police believe a crash happened at around 4.20am on Tuesday, April 5.
A man in his forties was found to have died. His next of kin are being supported.
It's not clear at this stage if there were any other vehicles involved or where the man was from.

Investigating officer, PC Charlie Etheridge, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing for any witnesses, or motorists who may have dash-cam footage, of the incident to please come forward.
“Although this was reported to us yesterday, we believe it may have happened at around 4.20am on 5 April.
“Anyone who has information or dash-cam footage can make a report by calling 101 or via our website, quoting reference 43220157746.”
