Comedian Chris Ramsey recently visited Tom Kerridge’s The Butcher's Tap and Grill and was in full praise of it.
Talking on his podcast, ‘Sh**ged Married Annoyed’, which he hosts with his wife Rosie Ramsey, he gave a “big shout out” to the Marlow chef.
Rosie said how Chris has not “stopped talking about it” as he was “amazed” by the establishment that brings together two declining industries, the high-street butchers and traditional pubs.
He said: “I went to a place called Marlow.
“Big shout out to Tom Kerridge, the chef, he sorted us a little table out at The Butcher's Tap and Grill. It was amazing.
“It was unbelievable. It’s basically a butchers but with a pub in it.
“You go in, sit down and have a couple of drinks.
“You go can I have a burger? And they say come up to counter and you see all this meat and you actually end up having a massive T-bone and they grill it.”
Rosie joked: “So you have been upsold at the butchers?”
Chris replied: “Yes, I wanted a beer and a burger and I ended up having about four glasses of red wine and half a cow. It was incredible. Absolutely amazing.”
