The Bucks Free Press has managed to help a sports charity raise more than £1,000 through a Facebook auction where several retro Wycombe Wanderers shirts were sold.
This is amazing. An anonymous person has donated their old Wycombe shirts for today’s kit/clothes drive at Aylesbury Vale Dynamos. Amazing stuff! #Chairboys @wwfcofficial @ValeDynamos @bluntphil @RRFC_1971 @KitAid @classicshirts pic.twitter.com/9gOcW6UmbC

On Saturday, March 26, Aylesbury Vale Dynamos’ home Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division league fixture against Risborough Rangers was free of charge, on the basis that clothing donations were made as a lieu of payment.
Any old football kits that were given in would go to the Kit Aid charity, whilst non-sporting clothes went to the Ukraine Appeal.
What a fantastic donation, many thanks.

Good luck today and thanks very much for including KitAid today.@ValeDynamos @Ollie_Bayliss @nonleaguedayuk https://t.co/pVzYtZmdHM
However, after the Ukraine Appeal confirmed that no more clothes were needed, the club have agreed to share the donations amongst numerous charities across Aylesbury.
On the day of the game, one donation caused a bit of a storm as an anonymous person decided to give away 11 Wycombe shirts that dated back to the 1990s.
The shirts in particular were deemed to be collectables due to their rare design, and upon discovering four more classic Chairboys kits in the pile, Dynamos agreed to sell off the shirts through an auction organised by the BFP, with money going to Kit Aid.
Absolute scenes. I don't know why i'm sharing this when i want to bid on some of them but it is for a good cause 😭https://t.co/4KwpSkZWRa

Beginning in the evening of March 30 and lasting for two days, an amazing 185 bids were made during the auction for the kits and overall, £1,140.85 was raised for the charity.
Conducted through the Wycombe Wanderers Facebook fan page, some of the winners of the retro kits picked up their prizes before the Chairboys’ 2-0 home win over Doncaster Rovers on April 2.
The money raised will help Kit Aid purchase new kits for those living in the most impoverished areas of Africa.
One of the winners was Amos Hayes, who picked up five shirts totalling up to £250, whilst Ashley Turney spent the most on one kit.
Mr Turney was victorious in getting the 1999/00 away shirt for £185.85p.
A volunteer from Kit Aid said: “Handing over some of the shirts collected for Kit Aid on Friday [April 1].
