Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth has paid tribute to the outgoing Adebayo Akinfenwa ahead of this weekend’s match against Doncaster Rovers.
The fixture against one of the Beasts’ former EFL clubs is dedicated to the striker, who is retiring at the end of the season.
A guard of honour will be conducted ahead of kick-off against the Yorkshire, and Ainsworth believes that the popular 39-year-old is more than just a Wanderers legend.
Speaking to the club’s media team, he said: “Akinfenwa is an incredible guy.
#Chairboys players and staff will form a Guard of Honour for @daRealAkinfenwa before kick-off at Adams Park on Saturday.
