A man fell into a lift shaft after he walked through the open doors while the elevator was stuck on another floor.
Firefighters were called to a building in Cambridge Street, Aylesbury, at around 12pm on Monday to rescue the man, who was stuck in the shaft.
The man, who has not been named by Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, had fallen into the lift shaft and landed on top of the lift, which was stationary on a lower floor.

Due to some kind of mechanical error, the elevator doors opened while the lift itself was stuck below, and the man walked through into the empty space.
Fortunately, the man was not injured in the incident. It is not clear how far he fell.
After releasing the man, the lift was isolated and a lift engineer was contacted.
