A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital following a suspected assault involving a group of teenagers at the weekend.

Police have appealed for witnesses following the incident, which took place outside DW Roberts Opticians and the Golden Fry in John Street, Newport Pagnell, on Saturday at around 9.30pm.

Following the altercation, which involved a group of teenagers, the 16-year-old boy suffered a broken nose. He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

A 17-year-old boy from Milton Keynes has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released on police bail until April 15.

Investigating officer PC Jessica Cooper, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information which could help our investigation.

“If have any information to share with us, please call us on 101, quoting reference number 43220120819.”
