Councils process hundreds of planning applications every year.

Some get approved, some refused, some postponed, and others just get withdrawn.

Here are a handful of interesting plans recently processed.

Princes Risborough expansion

Persimmon Homes and Halsbury Homes have submitted to Bucks Council an outline planning application for a major new development off Longwick Road in Princes Risborough.

Plans outline up to 1,100 new homes (30 per cent affordable) with public open space, and land for a two-form entry primary school, across 50 hectares.

The Crown refurb

Bucks Council has turned down Greene King’s application to spruce up The Crown, on Church Road, in Penn.

Refurbishment works included alterations to the indoor bar, a new rear extension with a new kitchen and bar to serve the beer garden, and a staff break room.

There were also plans to extend the car park at the Grade II listed building.

New school and GP

A new multimillion-pound primary school and health hub will form part of major expansion plans.

Milton Keynes Council (MKC) has agreed the early stages of a proposal for a new school and health facility in the town, with a price tag of £15 million.

Both facilities will form part of the Milton Keynes East Strategic Urban Extension (MKESUE) area.

High hedge complaint

The council is being asked to weigh in on a high hedge complaint.

Bucks Council recently received an objection about a looming hedge on Stephenson Close in High Wycombe.

The 'hedge' in question is large and full, reaching roof ridgeline at the rear of a residential property.

Phone mast plans

MBNL (EE (UK) Ltd and H3G (UK) Ltd) have submitted to Bucks Council monopole plans for the junction of Cumbrian Way and Brecon Way in High Wycombe.

The agent is Mr Chris Andrews, Waldon Telecom Ltd.
