Children from St Mary's and All Saints School in Beaconsfield teamed up with parents to cover a huge distance from Beaconsfield to Kyiv in bid to raise money for Ukraine.
Around 70 people set off to cover the same distance it would take to get from Beaconsfield to Kyiv and back – a total of 3,374 miles- using any inventive way, except anything motorised like car or train.
After a 6am start on Friday March 11, their plan was to get from Beaconsfield to Kyiv (1,525 miles) over the weekend.
However, the teams completed this distance already by Saturday night the next day using bikes, running, walking, rowing, skiing and even walks to the pub and then set off to complete distance home.

One parent, Kelly Kershaw, whose daughters go to St Mary's and All Saints School Years 2 and 4, said: “The challenge seemed to galvanise us all into action, as we'd all sat watching the news and felt completely helpless.
“We felt we were doing something meaningful to help, and it was very important that the kids were involved.
“They've obviously heard the news, and it's scary for them - by taking positive, tangible action, alongside their parents, friends and siblings - we can explain what's happening and how we're trying to help in a positive way.

“It's also a good example for them of how a community can come together ....and as a secondary benefit, we all got moving for the weekend!
“At 6am on Friday - the start of the challenge - myself and my friend Helen, also ran around Beaconsfield and stuck 40 yellow and blue ribbons on lamp posts and bollards!”
The St Mary’s and All Saints School’s appeal alone has raised over £5,200 as part of the fundraising appeal for humanitarian aid to war-torn Ukraine and to assist scores of people escaping the Russian invasion.
This is how the teams covered the distance:
