A Bucks man got away with just a fine after he attacked a police officer.

Luke Haines, 31, of Milton Road, Chesham, was fined £162 after he admitted to assaulting a police constable.

The assault took place on November 29, 2020, in Wallington Road, Chesham.

Haines had initially pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault by beating of an emergency worker and was due to go on trial at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court, but at a hearing on February 21, he changed his plea to guilty.
