PLANS to install a roundabout on a major road as part of a new access for a leading ejector seat manufacturer have been permitted.
Bucks Council has approved a highways development plan by Martin-Baker Aircraft Company Ltd relating to the A413 Amersham Road in Denham.
Plans detail construction of a new four-armed roundabout at the junction between the A413 and the Old Amersham Road, with a connecting arm and link road.

There will also be a new bridge over the River Misbourne to connect to the western side of the Martin-Baker site.
Martin-Baker is currently accessed by Lower Road, a narrow residential street. The scheme will create a new access road into the site from Amersham Road, and Lower Road will be retained for emergency use only.

“The new access will replace the existing access on Lower Road and will be exclusively for the use of Martin-Baker staff and visitors only,” a cover letter.
The scheme will also affect a nearby sewage treatment works.
