Strike action is set to cause "severe disruption" on the trains this week, as Chiltern Railways reveals it cannot operate any direct service between Marylebone and Aylesbury

All London Underground lines are suspended, according to the Transport for London’s website, amid strike action by thousands of workers.

And Chiltern Railways says that with around 1,000 London Underground signallers and station staff taking industrial action in a dispute over jobs, pensions and conditions, they will not be able to run a direct service between London Marylebone and Aylesbury (via Amersham).

They warned that on March 1 and 3: "London Underground signallers and station staff are taking industrial action between 00:01 and 23:59, which will mean there will be no tube service on any line all day.

"It will also prevent Chiltern Railways operating any direct services between London Marylebone and Aylesbury (via Amersham) as the signal boxes on the Metropolitan Line will be closed.

"Additionally, our service will not call at South Ruislip station as the entry/exit points are through the London Underground ticket hall (which will not be open).

"Services booked to call at South Ruislip will be moved to call at West Ruislip where possible.

"Please note: There will be no service operating between London Marylebone, Harrow-on-the-Hill and Amersham all day."

Customers travelling from Great Missenden or Wendover are recommended to travel to Aylesbury where a connecting service will be in operation to London Marylebone (via High Wycombe).

On March 2 and 4, Chiltern Railways says their services between Marylebone and Aylesbury should be operating as normal from around 8am, with London Underground services set to also start running from 8am but with disruption until mid-morning.
