A woman was sexually assaulted after getting out of a taxi in High Wycombe late at night.
She was dropped off by the taxi on Limmer Lane where she was approached by a man who started to sexually assault her.
The assault continued onto Booker Common where the woman, after struggling with the man, managed to run away down Limmer Lane towards Cressex Road.
It took place between 2.05am and 2.40 am on Saturday (February 26).
The man is described by police as black Afro-Caribbean, very tall with a skinny build and his hair in tight braids which went into a top bun.
They add that he was wearing dark clothing and possibly a puffa jacket.
Officers are also looking to identify the taxi driver, who dropped the victim off in Limmer Lane.
Whilst he is not considered a suspect, police believe he could have vital information about the assault.
He is described as an Asian man who was driving a large, dark, possibly six-seater taxi.
Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant James Rocks, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “This was a serious sexual assault, and we are doing everything possible to identify and apprehend the man responsible.
“We are particularly keen to identify the taxi driver who dropped the victim off, as he may have seen this offender. If this is you, or if you think you know who this could be, please contact us immediately.
