A man has been jailed after a huge cannabis farm was discovered in High Wycombe.
Elsi Clea, 21, has been locked up for four months after he was found tending to a weed factory in London Road with 250 plants – producing about £400,000-worth of drugs per year.
Clea, of London Road, pleaded guilty to one count of being concerned in the supply of cannabis and was sentenced at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
On Thursday, at around 11.30am, officers raided the property in London Road, where they arrested the offender.
Inside the building, police found around 250 cannabis plants, which could produce around £400,000-worth of the drug every year.
Police Sergeant Kristopher Lovell, of the Problem Solving Team, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “Illegal drug production will not be tolerated by Thames Valley Police and I hope this sentence reflects the seriousness of this offending.
“This sentencing and seizure were partly the result of intelligence provided by a member of the public so I’d like to thank them for supporting our investigation.
“I would also encourage anyone with information about criminal activity to tell police as this shows that we do act on it.
“You can do so on our website or by calling 101. You can also report information anonymously by calling independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
