A 41-year-old man will spend three years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to causing injury by dangerous driving.
Timothy Seviour, of Gibraltar, Aylesbury, was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on Friday, February 18, which also saw him be banned from driving for five years.
This is in relation to an incident that happened on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at around 3.50pm, when Seviour was driving northbound on the A418 Aylesbury Road between Pegasus Way and Churchway.

He attempted to overtake several vehicles where the speed limit was 50mph.

Seviour was driving on the opposite side of the carriageway for long periods, which eventually resulted in a collision with another driver.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, suffered fractures to her back including a burst fracture to her lower spine.
He was charged via postal requisition on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, and pleaded guilty to the crime on Monday, November 15, 2021.

“The sentence delivered by the court sends a strong message to those who drive dangerously and it will serve to reassure the public that the police and justice system take these matters very seriously.
“This now takes a dangerous offender off the roads for some time.”
