PLANS to build Porsche and Bentley dealerships in High Wycombe are due to be decided.

Bucks Council will debate a planning application for both dealerships at the undeveloped site of the former leisure centre, at Handy Cross, on Marlow Hill.

The council confirmed “conditional disposal” for both outlets back in September 2021, dependent on developer Dealership Developments Ltd winning planning permission.

Plans detail construction of a two-storey (3,935 sqm) building for a Porsche Centre, a two-storey (1,655 sqm) building for a Bentley dealership, and a single-storey (492 sqm) building for a car preparation workshop.

The new scheme will also have showrooms and sales areas, an MOT testing facility, offices, and around 200 parking spaces.

Access will be from the A404 via the existing road serving Waitrose, the leisure centre and the Park and Ride.

The council-owned site, currently used for temporary vehicle storage, will also have “green living walls”, ten EV (electric vehicle) charge points, and roof-mounted solar panels.

More than 88 new jobs will be created.

“Workshop will be directly opposite my property affecting my bedroom. Concerns about noise,” they write. “Increased traffic will be a disturbance and impact on residents getting into and out of estate.”

The application is recommended for approval, subject to planning contributions.
