The gas company Cadent started gas supply work on Amersham Road A416 on Monday February 14 and put temporary traffic lights in place.
The Chesham Bois section of Amersham Road, located north of the Chiltern Road junction, will be closed over the weekend of February 19 and 20.
Diversions will be in place.
Some residents took to Facebook to point out that some signs said the road will be closed until February 23, while other signs didn’t.

Apparently, the signs displaying February 23 were a typo and they will be “removed tonight” (February 18), the company said.
A Cadent spokesperson said: “The works taking place on Amersham Road on 19th – 20th February are essential maintenance works to ensure that residents, schools and business receive a safe and reliable gas supply.
