A man tried to snatch a woman's bag in High Wycombe this week.
The woman, in her thirties, was walking near the junction of Oakridge Road and Green Street at around 6.50am on Wednesday, February 16, when she was approached by a man.
He tried to snatch her bag but fortunately she managed to get away.
The would-be thief is described as being a tall Asian man with facial hair and wearing a knee length jacket.
Detective Constable Andrew Cummins, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to please come forward.
“Further, I’d appeal to motorists with dash-cams who were in the local area around the time of the incident to please check if any footage may have captured what happened.
“Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43220071747.
“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via their website.”
