Wycombe Wanderers have confirmed that they have given their share of the gate money to Long Crendon following their Berks and Bucks tie.
The Chairboys defeated the Non League outfit 4-0 at Thame United's ASM Stadium on February 15, with Ali Al-Hamadi, Jack Young, Olly Pendlebury and JB Fischer all getting on the scoresheet.

But the night belonged to Crendon as they smashed their attendance record with 1,904 people visiting the stadium to watch the cup tie.
It was also the highest crowd ever recorded at the ASM.

Speaking after the defeat on the kind gesture, manager Ryan Davis said: “It’s brilliant and it’s no more than what I would have expected from Wycombe, having dealt with them over the course of this tie.
“Every single one of their staff members, without fail, has been unbelievable.
#Chairboys @wwfcofficial have set an example of how a club should represent themselves on and off the field! Owner, Manager, Club Legend were all present ✅@BerksandBucksFA 🏆@LongCrendonFC

“They have shown us the utmost respect, they have treated us like a professional club and so to make that gesture, that is life changing for us.
“We will be careful to invest.
“I don’t think we will start throwing it around on players of things like that, as there are lots of stuff that we would like to put in place.
“People know that we don’t have our own ground at the moment, so this could go a long to securing our future.”
The crowd of just short 2,000 is a world away from their previous fixture, which saw just 39 people attend.
And even though their Bucks and Berks run is over for another season, Davis believes the memories from the day will last a lifetime.

He continued: “I was really happy with them.
“The one thing that we wanted to do was to do ourselves justice as we knew we were up against a professional outfit.
“We wanted Wycombe to bring a strong side because when you draw a club like them, it’s nice to play near to their first team rather than their academy side.

Left sided centre-back in the B&B tie with Long Crendon believed to be 18-year-old Will Hall currently with Watford. Also had loan spells with Kings Langley and Hendon this season #chairboys pic.twitter.com/QGealIVPmt
“The boys ran their socks off and I think we made Wycombe work very hard.
“I take to take a couple of steps back during the game and I said to my assistants and say just take a moment to appreciate this as this isn’t going to happen every day.
An enjoyable evening.

Shoutout to @Hire3b & @CatlingCarl for their work behind the scenes, and of course to our hosts @LongCrendonFC - good luck for the rest of your season. #Chairboys
“And whatever we achieve in football, whether that’s with Long Crendon or not, it really did feel like a unique occasion.

“We knew after hearing about the ticket sales that there was going to be a big crowd, but, when you actually see what 1,900 people looks like in the ground like this, it felt amazing.
“The atmosphere was great and there was a good buzz."
