A man has been jailed after he stole Ferrero Rocher chocolates from a High Wycombe Post Office.

Kieron Trim, 34, has been locked up for eight weeks after he was caught stealing the luxury chocolates from the Castlefield Post Office on January 16.

At Wycombe Magistrates' Court on January 20, the court heard how Trim, of Haydock Green in Ealing, was caught stealing the Ferrero Rochers and a selection of Thorntons chocolates, worth a total of £60.

The court heard how the following day, Trim stole two bottles of engine oil from Desborough Petrol Station worth £100, and took 11 bottles of Smirnoff vodka from Sainsbury's in High Wycombe, worth £225.50.

He pleaded guilty to three counts of theft from a shop.

Trim is known as "prolific" offender in Wycombe and has been convicted of theft offences before.

Appearing at court in November 2021, Trim admitted to stealing an £80 chainsaw from Lidl and a £4.50 meal deal from Co-op.

Sentencing Trim on January, the magistrates took the defendant's previous offending into consideration and sent him to prison for eight weeks.

He was also ordered to pay £207 in costs.
