There is an increased burglary risk during the winter due to longer night-time hours and fewer people outdoors after dark.
Police advise keeping all windows and doors locked when out of the house and keeping valuables out of sight at night time.
If any residents have concerns about potential issues in the area, they can approach the officers.
If you have any information regarding an attempted break-in in the area, call the police on 101. Always use 999 in an emergency.
