A Bucks PE teacher is one of three coaches selected from Great Britain to be part of the prestigious European Hockey Federation’s (EHF) coaches programme 2022.
Pipers Corner School teacher, Stephanie Brennan, who was nominated by Great Britain Hockey, will be the only female representing GB.
The two-year Coaches for Europe programme is organised by the EHF, the governing body of hockey in Europe, and aims to elevate the skills of coaches.

Having completed the Great Britain Hockey advanced coach programme in 2018, Stephanie is responsible for extra-curricular sport at Pipers Corner – an independent day school for girls in Great Missenden.
Stephanie’s aptitude for coaching began 11 years ago when she became part of the England Hockey player performance pathway at only 17.
She said: “I'm really excited and honoured to have the opportunity to be part of the EHF Coaches for Europe programme.
"To be nominated by Great Britain Hockey to begin with, is an achievement, let alone to gain a place, so I am thrilled!

"I hope that by being part of this programme I can bring some new ideas, skills and trends from other countries and coaches to support the students at Pipers Corner in their sporting and leadership careers.
"I really hope this can raise the profile of female coaches in Hockey, and in sport in general, and show that females can be successful in leadership.”
Outside of her teaching role, she coaches the U18 girl's hockey team at Marlow Hockey Club, men's head coach at Wootton Wanderers Hockey club, England Hockey performance centre coach and Hockey for Heroes men's coach.
The first conference will be held in March in Barcelona and will include mentoring and seminars from renowned coach developers across Europe, giving its participants the opportunity to work with the best in their respective fields.
