A flat in High Wycombe has been shut down by police due to anti-social behaviour.

A room in a property in West Wycombe Road has been closed by the authorities, with police citing "nuisance and disorder" as the reason for the order.

At a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on January 12, the magistrates opted to shut the flat down for three months.

During that period, only certain named people and police staff can enter the premises.

Police issued a closure notice for the property on January 12 under section 80 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

According to the act, a court can issue a closure order if a person there has engaged, or is likely to engage in disorderly, offensive or criminal behaviour.

The order can also be issued if the premises is used for nuisance to the public, or if disorder nearby is associated with the premises.
