Marlow's branch of the Royal British Legion has been recently been honoured with a prestigious award and a certificate of merit.
The club received the award at the county's branch efficiency competition marking the outstanding service given throughout the year and especially during the Remembrance period.
The award has not been handed out for many years but the incredible work done by the club in the last 12 months has seen them receive the rare accolade.
Individuals were also recognised with the Royal British Legion’s national award of a 'Gold Badge' were handed to Shaun Murphy and to Dr John Wilkinson for their contributions to the legion.
Barbara Murphy was the runner in the county’s Poppy Appeal award raising £32,000 in Marlow this appeal year.
Corrine Hinch received a certificate of appreciation for her magnificent 'Marlow Poppies' display around All Saints church and Higginson Park railings during the appeal period.
