Ugly scenes marred a Non League game in Buckinghamshire as a goalkeeping coach was sent off for hitting an opposition supporter.
In the 80th minute of Milton Keynes Irish’s 0-0 draw at home to Leighton Town in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division on Tuesday, January 25, the fixture was briefly paused following a disturbance in the stands.

The MK Irish Manger has been Sent off after hitting a Leighton Town Fan.

At first, it was reported via the Leighton Twitter account that it was Irish’s manager that had been shown their marching orders at Manor Fields.

However, MK corrected their opponents on the night and explained it was their goalkeeping coach who saw red.
The side from north Buckinghamshire also went on to say that their manager was ‘nowhere near’ the scene.

It has not been revealed what was said to cause the reaction during the stalemate, but following the fracas, Leighton Town took to Twitter to say that the incident was ‘very unexpected and ruined what was a good game for both teams’.

They also said it was ‘chaos’ when the fight broke out.
The two sides play in the same league as Aylesbury Vale Dynamos, Risborough Rangers, Flackwell Heath, and Holmer Green from Buckinghamshire.
