A young cat had to be rescued from a tree by firefighters this week.
A fire crew from Amersham was called late on Thursday, January 20, to rescue a 16-month-old cat from a 10ft oak tree in Chiltern Road in Chesham Bois.
The cat had reportedly been stuck in the tree for more than 24 hours and desperate members of the public alerted the fire brigade because the RSPCA was shut.
The fire crew, called at 10.39pm, used a 10.5-metre ladder to rescue the cat, which was fortunately not injured.
