Police have revealed that the patrols are in response to a recent spate of burglaries in the area.
Officers believe two burglaries took place in the town over the weekend, in Berryfield Road and Manor Park Avenue, sometime between 5pm on Friday and 10pm on Saturday.
On Sunday, officers were doing "reassurance" patrols in those two streets, as well as others nearby, to remind residents and burglars alike that the area is being watched and that the burglaries are being investigated.

Residents across Buckinghamshire have been urged to stay vigilant and watch out for burglaries, as attempted break-ins often increase over winter due to the shorter daylight hours and number of people away on holidays.
If you think you have seen a burglary, call 999 in an emergency, or call 101.
