The faces behind the Buckinghamshire drugs empire which fell apart spectacularly thanks to the hard work of police have been revealed.

Police have released the mugshots of the 13 men who were involved in an enormous drugs network operating across Bucks, Northampton, Luton, Dorset, Yorkshire and more - all of whom are now behind bars

The drug gang was spearheaded by brothers Ansar and Ajmal Akram, who, along with an array of drug couriers, customers and organised crime group (OCG) big shots, have been put behind bars.

Leader:

Ansar Akram, 34, of Thumpers, Hemel Hempstead.

Akram ran the operation from the shadows, rarely exposing himself to danger and running the business through his right-hand man, brother Akmal.

Jail time: 15 years

Second-in-command:

Ajmal Akram, 31, of Thumpers, Hemel Hempstead.

The younger Akram brother ran a network of drug-running couriers who travelled across the country, using encrypted devices to hide their activities from police.

Jail time: 14 years

Courier orchestrator:

Rahoof Khan, 27, of Thumpers, Hemel Hempstead.

A senior member of the group, Khan orchestrated the OCG's couriers, and occasionally acted as one himself.

Jail time: 11 years, 6 months.

Wasim Afzal, 44, of St Margaret’s Avenue, Luton.

One of three regular couriers working for the OCG, moving drugs up and down the country, and returning to Hemel Hempstead with bags full of cash.

Jail time: 11 years, 9 months.

Sarfraz Asif, 40 of Dordans Road, Luton.

Another regular courier for the OCG.

Jail time: 4 years, 6 months

Jameel Khan, 27, of Winchester Street, Nottingham.

A trusted drug and cash courier, police proved that Khan transported goods on 16 occasions, returning with bags of cash containing in excess of £70,000.

Ahsan Mahmood, 50, of Southlands Avenue, Peterborough.

A regular customer of the OCG, buying huge amounts of cocaine from the group to sell on in his local area.

Jail time: 11 years, 6 months

Ben Lewis, 29, of St Swithins Road, Bridport, Dorset.

A regular customer of the OCG, buying large amounts of cocaine.

Jail time: 7 years, 6 months

A regular customer of the OCG.

Jail time: 5 years, 4 months

Ryan Brockley, 36, of Deepdale, Leicester.

A regular customer of the OCG.

Middle man:

Waseem Khan, 38, of Carrisbrooke Road, Luton.

Khan was a senior member of the group, acting as a middle man and brokering drug deals with customers across the country.

Jail time: 15 years

Mohammed Jahangeer, 39, of Ribston Walk, Sheffield, Yorkshire.

A regular customer of the OCG.

Jail time: 11 years

Taswir Mohammed, 39, of Stoke Road, Aylesbury.

A frequent customer based in Bucks, Mohammed bought huge quantities of cocaine which was then sold to drug dealers across Buckinghamshire.

Jail time: 8 years
