Prime Minister Boris Johnson has recently visited a vaccination hub in Aylesbury as he continued to encourage the public to get their booster vaccinations.
Mr Johnson was spotted at the Stoke Mandeville Stadium’s Guttman Centre on Monday, January 3, where he spoke to nurses and to those getting their jabs.
On his visit to the centre of Buckinghamshire, the PM also stated that current measures that have been implemented are the correct ones addresses the virus.
The Bucks Free Press did not receive advance notice of the visit. It is not known if any local media outlets were invited to attend.
A Downing Street spokesman apologised and said they were not responsible for planning the event and would find out what happened.
March this year will mark the second anniversary of the pandemic starting in England.
Speaking at his visit in Aylesbury, Mr Johnson said: “I think the way forward for the country as a whole is to continue with the path that we’re on. We’ll keep everything under review.
“The mixture of things that we’re doing at the moment is, I think, the right one.
“So, number one, continue with Plan B, make sure that people take it seriously, do what we can to stop the spread, use the Plan B measures, work from home if you can, wear a mask on public transport… take a test before going out to meet people you don’t normally meet, think about the requirements under Plan B, but also get the boost.”

He added that all measures will be kept under review and urged people to “build up defences” by getting third doses of the jab.
Mr Johnson continued: “People should also take Covid tests before meeting people you don’t usually meet and work from home if possible.”
According to the official vaccination figures, 47 million people in the UK are fully vaccinated.
