Billy Byrne, Aylesbury
Byrne, who was 22-years-old at the time of when he was sentenced, was jailed in April 2015 after he was found guilty in February of that year, for a string of numerous sex crimes which involved children.
Some of these offences included assaulting underage girls, inciting them to have sex with him, as well as having thousands of indecent images of children on his home computer.
Byrne, who lived on Rowland Way, which is next to two education establishments in Aylesbury, was sentenced to 10-years behind bars, with a four-year extension to protect the public.
He is currently seven years into his 14-year sentence.
Kandice Barber, Wendover
A crime that went national, secondary school teacher Kandice Barber was sentenced to six-years in prison in March 2021, after she was found guilty of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
The felonies were committed in September 2018 when Barber put her mobile number in a 15-year-old boy’s phone.
She then started to send explicit content to the teenager which included topless photos as well as a video of her masturbating.

They also met and had sex in a private field where she revealed to the teenager that she might have been pregnant, and she was unsure if the baby was the schoolboy’s or her husband's.
Barber, who is now barred from working with children and vulnerable adults, demanded that the schoolboy delete the messages and block her number to remove any evidence.
Handing her sentence to Barber, Recorder Bal Dhaliwal, said: “All of these acts are tantamount to you grooming him and pulling him in, and with significant planning on your part.”
Russell Sheller, High Wycombe
Jailed in March 2019, Sheller of Acorn Close was given a 13-year sentence (eight in prison and five on license), after he admitted to numerous child sex offences.
These offences included the following:
- One count of attempting to arrange or facilitate the commission of a child sexual offence
- One count of attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act
- Three counts of making indecent photographs of children
- Six counts of distributing an indecent photo of a child
- Two counts of causing sexual exploitation
- A breach of sexual offences prevention order
- A failure to comply with notification requirements
Some of the crimes took place between October and November 2018 where he attempted to meet a 13-year-old girl for penetrative sexual activity.
In June of that year, he caused the girl to send him several intimate photos, where he also made several hundreds of incident images of children.

Detective Constable Petra Summers, of Thames Valley Police’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team, said: “Sheller admitted in his first interview with police that he had seen indecent images of children on the internet and that he had shared a few images with other adults on the internet.
“He denied in first interview to having chatted to children on the internet.”
He remains in prison.
Jason Thick, Marlow
Thick, is currently serving a nine-year sentence after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl on a moving train.
Thick, of Peacock Road in the town, grabbed the child, put her on his lap and began sexually abusing her, the judge heard at Aylesbury Crown Court in September 2019.

The court then discovered that the predator took the girl off his lap whenever the train stopped at a station, allowed passengers to walk to their seats so he would not be seen, before picking her up and assaulting her when the train started to move.
Thick was jailed for two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13 by penetration, was placed on the sex offenders' register, and was given a sexual harm prevention order.
During the trial in September 2019, Judge Francis Sheridan told him: “You are, without a shadow of a doubt, an offender of particular concern.
“You are a disgusting man actually, putting it bluntly.”
It was also revealed that Thick, when aged 26, had been convicted of having a sexual relationship with a girl under the age of 16.
