One customer shared their visit on TripAdvisor, writing: "Staying in Travelodge in town centre, wanted a Kebab and was told to walk past Pizza Express to find best Kebabs.
"Couldn't resist a pint and happened on The Rose and Crown, what a lovely place, amazingly cheap drinks, and incredibly friendly atmosphere.
"Ended up staying for 2 hours, so so friendly. Kebab from Turkish place just down the road was top notch."
