For Then & Now this week, we will be looking at how Beaconsfield once looked many years ago.
The first photos the A40 in the town with two people walking across the road to the parish church in around 1975.
The second photo, which is dated from this year (2021), shows that the roundabout has stayed the same with some of its surroundings not changing too much over the last 46 years.
The road is still frequently used today by residents and those passing through the town.
Sticking with Beaconsfield, the White Hart has always been a popular venue for people in the town to socialise, and in 1920, things were no different.
A photo from our archive shows the pub and hotel looking fresh the third decade of the 20th century.
The pub is still standing today and remains as a well-liked place to visit.
