Bill Bailey has paid tribute to fellow comedian and friend Sean Lock in a heartwarming post from their favourite Buckinghamshire beauty spot.

The comic and Strictly Come Dancing winner shared a photo on Instagram of him up Ivinghoe Beacon, a hill in the Chilterns AONB that offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

The historic beacon, which is part of the Ashridge Estate, was a "favourite" for both Bill and Sean, who died aged 58 on August 16 after a battle with cancer.

The pair were close friends and Bill said he visited the beacon to "speak to him, share a flask of tea and remember" his pal.

Sharing a photo of himself atop the popular walking spot on a beautiful sunny day earlier this week, he wrote: "Walked up Ivinghoe Beacon today - a beautiful spot that was a favourite with me and Sean Lock. I came to speak to him, share a flask of tea and remember. Love you Sean, miss you old friend."

Bill walked the entire Ridegway back in 2017 for charity, from Ivinghoe Beacon to Avebury Henge in Wiltshire.

His gruelling endeavour spanned 87 miles on a route used since prehistoric times by travellers, herdsmen and soldiers, in a bid to raise cash for Cancer Research UK.

More than £10,000 was raised through his JustGiving donation page.
