A former Metropolitan Police officer from Buckinghamshire is among eight people charged with bribery offences, following an investigation into inappropriate relationships between police officers and people running local businesses.

Ex-sergeant Frank Partridge, 48, from Wing, is accused of conspiracy to commit bribery.

He was charged with the offence alongside seven others on Wednesday - including one from Flackwell Heath.

The Met said it follows a long-running investigation by the Anti-Corruption Command looking into allegations of corruption by police licensing officers in Westminster, and inappropriate relationships between police officers and people running local businesses.

The charges come after a file was first passed to the Crown Prosecution Service in December 2017.

The others charged are:

  • Soraya Henderson, 55, of Glenmore Close, Flackwell Heath
  • Ryan Bishti, 41, of Exhibition Road in South Kensington, London
  • Pamela Bishti, 66, of Outram Road, Croydon
  • Hassan Serdoud, 54, of Fellows Road, Camden
  • Anna Ginandes, 44, of Fellows Road, Camden
  • Terry Neil, 55, of Kimbers Drive, Slough
  • Eamonn Mulholland, 54, of Florence Street, Islington

Serdoud has also been charged with bribery, the Met said.
