Two homes in Bucks were targetted by burglars just hours apart this week.

Police have appealed for witnesses after a burglary and attempted burglary took place near Aylesbury on Thursday.

The two offences, which are believed to be linked, took place in Whitchurch.

The first incident took place in Market Hill between 8.30am and 5.50pm. Jewellery was stolen by the offender of offenders.

The second incident took place in Oving Road between 11am and 7.45pm. Nothing was stolen but the front door or a home was damaged.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Sarah Spain said: “I would appeal to anyone with any information about these offences to contact Thames Valley Police as soon as possible.

“You can call the force on 101, visit a police station, or leave information on our website, quoting investigation reference 43210498964 regarding the burglary in Market Hill, or 43210499272 regarding the attempted burglary in Oving Road.”
