Marlow High Street will close on December 2 for a late night Christmas shopping event.

It will be a chance for shoppers to look around a number of stalls and shops to a backdrop of great entertainment.

The event in the past has brought thousands of visitors to the town's high street but it was cancelled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Father Christmas will be in back in his grotto offering presents for children and the chance to meet his hard-working live reindeer.

The Christmas fairy will be on stilts, making her way through the crowd alongside Peppa Pig, both looking to have their photo captured with as many children as possible.

Starting at 6pm, the evening hosted by Marlow Chamber will be kicked off with a carol service from primary school children.

Marlow FM will also be in attendance to add to the entertainment on the night.

A Facebook post from Marlow Chamber reads: "We are back - we missed you last year! the traditional late-night shopping event is on Thursday the 2nd December 2021.

"The High Street is closed from 1.30pm to enable an array of commercial & charity stalls to set up.

"Shops in the High St, Liston Court, West St & Spittal St will open until 9.00pm

"We have loads of entertainment planned including Santa in his grotto and the ever-popular reindeer - more details to follow.
