A suspected catalytic converter thief has been arrested after they were spotted by police in Chesham and Gerrards Cross.

Officers from the Chilterns and South Bucks area spotted a suspicious black car on the road around Bucks yesterday (Thursday).

After stopping and searching the vehicle, they found power tools and car parts in the boot. Officers also found a “steer clear of car crime” leaflet amongst the suspected stolen items.

Officers arrested the driver on suspicion of stealing catalytic converters and is now in custody.
