A High Wycombe man who was caught at Heathrow Airport trying to flee the country after police found nearly £100,000-worth of drugs must wait to discover his sentence.
Mohammed Asif, 21, of Sheraton Drive, was trying to board a plane out of the UK days after police raided a property in Maidenhead and found huge quantities of drugs with a street value of £98,000 on June 14.
Asif pleaded guilty to three counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and one count of possession to supply cannabis after police found 3kg of herbal cannabis, over 260g of heroin, over 320g of cocaine and 29 ‘deals’ of crack cocaine.
Police also found that a vulnerable man had been ‘cuckooed’ by an organised crime group, using his house in Woodlands Park as a base to store and sell the drugs.
Asif was due to be sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday, but proceedings have been delayed due to an issue with his solicitor.
The offender, who has been remanded in custody, will next be produced at Reading Crown Court on October 29.
