Nine schoolbus routes had to be cancelled today as ongoing fuel shortages continue to cause chaos.
Hundreds of schoolchildren across the county were stranded this morning because bus companies could not get enough fuel to run the services they rely on to get to school.
The routes affected included ones to John Hampden Grammar School, St Michael's Catholic School and Wycombe High School, as well as Royal Grammar School and Sir Henry Floyd in Aylesbury.
Parents are being advised to check the school bus alert on the Buckinghamshire Council website each morning while the situation continues.
Council leader Martin Tett said any parents affected by the cancellation of school transport should contact their children's schools directly.
The schoolbus routes affected this morning, Tuesday, September 28:
- 917 to Sir Thomas Fremantle
- 643 to John Hampden Grammar School, St Michael's Catholic School and Wycombe High School
- 655 to Royal Grammar School
- 671 to Aylesbury Grammar/Sir Henry Floyd
- 814 to John Hampden Grammar School, St Michael's Catholic School and Wycombe High School
- 815 to Royal Grammar School
- 945 to Icknield Community College
- 946 to Icknield Community College

Buckinghamshire Council said: "Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience this has caused. We are working with operators to resolve the current position and will keep schools and parents updated."
