Police were required at an Esso petrol station in Burnham after queuing vehicles caused severe congestion.
Officers called for drivers to “remain patient” on social media yesterday after queuing motorists caused “huge delays” at the filling station.

The officers based in the Chilterns and South Bucks were on hand to keep traffic flowing yesterday evening, reporting huge delays and congestion.
In a social media post, they said: “With a large number of vehicles queuing for fuel this is causing a huge delays and congestion.

“Officers are trying to keep traffic flowing however we ask you remain patient or attempt to find another station.”
Drivers are queueing outside petrol stations across the country this weekend as a shortage of HGV drivers means garages are not receiving as much fuel as usual.
The government has urged drivers not to panic buy fuel and transport secretary Grant Shapps has said he would 'move heaven and earth' to get the situation sorted.
