There was plenty of laughter and fun to be had at Wooburn Green Primary School on September 14 - with a special visit from the circus.
With children missing out on face-to-face interactions with their classmates amid a tough year-and-a-half, head teacher Mrs Moore said it was “brilliant” to see excited smiles as Circus Sensible came to visit.
All the school’s children, from pre-school to Year 6, enjoyed hilarious performances before taking part in a workshop and learning their own impressive tricks, like plate spinning and ribbon throwing.
Rozalyn Thomson, CEO of the Great Learners Trust, which the school is a part of, also attended the event and said: “It’s a rare and joyful sight - a large circus tent containing a school full of children and staff overcome with laughter. It was irresistibly funny.
“The circus performers really understood our sense of humour – and the audience participation was exceptionally enthusiastic – from all ages.
“Wooburn Green Primary School was the place to be on (last) Tuesday morning.
“Genuinely the best laugh I have had for a very long time.”
